Professor Cai Qingsheng had worked in Beijing Institute of Technology after he graduated there with major in computer in August, 1960. Since 1978 he began his teaching career as lectuer in University of Science and Technology of China, in 1983 he was appointed as associate professor, and in 1989 was nominated as professor. He has been to Japan, Korea and Hongkong for academic visit, and has been awarded as visiting professor of Hongkong Polytechnic Univeristy for one year. Professor Cai has long devoted himself to research in many fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Expert System, Machine Learning, Noetic Science and Life Sciences. For several times he has been in charge of projects funded by ¡°National 863 High Technology¡±, ¡°National Natural Science Foundation¡± and ¡°Doctoral Foundation of the Ministry of Education¡± and undertaken many computer application research projects, a number of which have been identified as advanced international or advanced domestic level by Provincial and Ministerial Committee.

Professional Award
Professor Cai has won Major Achievement Prize in Science and Technology of Anhui Province, Provincial Excellent Academic Thesis Prize, Scholastic Excellent Teacher Prize, Scholastic Excellent Teaching Achievement Prize and First Prize of Excellent Thesis in National Academic Conference.
